The Medical Assistant supports providers by greeting patients, managing clinical flow, and assisting with medical procedures using sterile techniques. They are also responsible for patient documentation, recording vitals, and maintaining a clean, compliant clinical environment.
Requires a high school diploma and preferably graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or two years of clinical experience. Candidates must be proficient in taking vital signs, medical terminology, and using Microsoft Office and EMR software.
The Medical Assistant works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Provider(s), to greet patients; relay telephone messages to the appropriate recipients; assist with procedures; and perform various other assigned clinical responsibilities, utilizing sterile and aseptic techniques
