Requires an M.D. or D.O. degree and board certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Must possess an active Connecticut physician license and DEA registration.

The Division of Neonatology at Connecticut Children’s has an opening for full-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible neonatologists to provide patient care at our NICU at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT.
Clinical duties include caring for infants in a 10-bed Level II NICU and newborns in the well-baby nursery. The unit supports a delivery service of approximately 1100 births per year. Coverage is provided by 24/7 advanced practitioners with at-home neonatology call. As part of the Connecticut Children’s, the unit is part of a state-wide transport service for infants requiring more advanced care.
Neonatologists will provide a high level of clinical excellence through providing safe, prompt, competent, collaborative, and evidence-based medical care. Successful candidates will be responsible to follow care guidelines and treatment protocols for infants with a variety of neonatal illnesses and conditions covering a broad spectrum of health issues. The Neonatologist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including attending, advanced practitioner staff, nursing and subspecialists to provide this care.
