Assists physicians and nursing staff with direct patient care and delegated medical tasks. Manages appointment scheduling, chart maintenance, and utilizes electronic systems for documentation.
Requires a Medical Assistant certification and CPR certification, along with demonstrated skill in venipuncture. A high school diploma and graduation from an accredited training program or two years of supervised medical experience are preferred.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
