The Respiratory Therapist delivers routine therapy, responds to emergency codes, and monitors patient conditions. They are also responsible for educating patients and families while maintaining and sterilizing respiratory care equipment.
Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and a valid Tennessee license. BCLS certification is required, while ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are preferred.
