Perform clinical duties including medication administration and patient monitoring during radiologic procedures. Responsible for accurate documentation of clinical history and maintaining a radiation-protected environment.
Requires an Associate degree in Nursing and RN/LPN licensure along with ACLS/BLS certifications. Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in a radiology setting.
RN's are responsible for performing clinical duties within their designated scope of practice that also promotes excellent patient care. Administers appropriate medications to patients within assigned area of responsibility at the direction/order by the physician. RN's are responsible for accurate documentation of clinical history, maintain a radiation-protected environment for themselves and patients and can operate routine equipment as well as monitor CT IV's and sedation of patients. Responsible for accurate documentation of patients’ clinical history, administered procedures, medications and other pertinent patient care information in the medical record and CR RIS system Assess and treat patients during procedures and during times of medical distress Access patient's venous system through an implanted port for contrast administration and or lab values Administers sedation medications as ordered to claustrophobic patients during radiologic procedures Maintains and procures complete and accurate inventory of all necessary emergency medical supplies, including controlled substance count Performs and abides by sterile technique standards and creates sterile trays for procedures Complies with all CR organizational and clinical policy and procedures that apply to the role Assists the technologist with patient throughout to maximize workflow efficiencies Other duties as assigned
