A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of medical terminology, EHR systems, and clinical transcription practices.

Under the supervision of the Health Information Management Supervisor, the Health Information Specialist I provides essential support to both the Health Information Management and Clinical teams. This role is responsible for processing specialty referrals, managing medical records, and assisting with electronic health record (EHR) documentation. The Specialist I assures all activities are performed in compliance with HIPAA regulations and MFHC standards, contributing to accurate, timely, and secure health information practices.
This is an in-person position in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
$20 - $22 per hour, DOQ
