The phlebotomist is responsible for the pre-analytic phases of clinical specimen collection and preparation. Work is primarily performed in an outpatient setting but may extend to other lab areas as needed.
Candidates must hold a State of California Phlebotomy License (Certified Phlebotomy Tech I) and possess technical knowledge of lab procedures. One year of experience or completion of the UCI phlebotomy program is preferred.

Technical knowledge of lab procedures, functions and processes gained through education, experience or a combination of the two Strong written and verbal communication skills State of California Phlebotomy License (Certified Phlebotomy Tech I) Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer one year of phlebotomy experience or completion of UCI phlebotomy program
