The primary duties involve conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions for students aged 16–24, and prescribing medications within the scope of practice. Responsibilities also include administering immunizations, documenting encounters, and coordinating specialized or emergency care referrals.
Candidates must possess an active, unrestricted Utah Physician Assistant license, valid DEA registration with prescribing authority, and maintain professional liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence. Experience in primary care is required, with preference given to those experienced with adolescent/young adult populations.
