Performs routine technical and clerical functions including venipuncture, specimen receipt, and distribution. Responsible for conducting CLIA waived laboratory tests and ensuring accurate data entry into medical software.
Requires a high school diploma and one year of laboratory experience or completion of a formal phlebotomy training program. Phlebotomy certification is required where mandated by state law, with an associate degree preferred.
