Produces radiographs for orthopedic research and supports imaging workflows, including image processing and segmentation. Additionally, maintains radiological equipment and may provide float support to nearby clinics as needed.
Requires a graduate degree from an approved two-year radiologic technology program and at least 2 years of experience. Must hold MRT certification from the Texas Medical Board and ARRT (R) certification.
Produces radiographs of various portions of the body according to physician's request. Position Key Accountabilities: Develops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results. Forwards radiographs to the radiologist for review and interpretation. Produces radiographs in satellite facilities. Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment. Cleans and maintains processors. Ensures and assists in the accurate timing and positioning techniques. Processes the necessary paperwork for billing purposes and accepts payment. Assists in training new Radiologic Technician I's. Adheres to laboratory safety procedures. Must be able to respond to emergency situations. Performs other duties as assigned.
