The RN provides direct patient care using the nursing process as part of a multidisciplinary team. They are responsible for achieving clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes while modeling organizational values.
Candidates must have an Associate's degree in nursing, a MA RN license, and BLS certification. A BSN is strongly preferred, and additional certifications like ACLS or PALS may be required depending on the department.
The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care based on the nursing process within assigned work periods. They function as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes consistent with the comprehensive plan of care. The RN participates in activities to achieve clinical, financial and organizational outcomes. Knowledge of nursing process, social, behavioral and biological sciences normally acquired via approved nursing program. Able to provide age and culturally specific care to the population served. Ability to analyze data, to synthesize and summarize information and to make judgements regarding patient care.
For specialty areas, related experience and qualifications may be required. EDUCATION: Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing. BSN strongly preferred.
