General Purpose

This Unlicensed Master’s or Doctoral Level Clinician (LSW or LPCC) provides clinical mental health services to patients in our highly integrated primary care setting. Behavioral Health Providers (BHPs) work collaboratively with primary care and dental providers to reduce barriers to mental health care. Much of the day is spent providing brief screenings, assessments, psychoeducational and brief therapeutic services in the medical exam room or an in-clinic consultation room. BHPs carry a small caseload of patients for therapy services. BHPs may also work in collaboration with internal and external psychiatric providers to enhance the care of patients taking medication. This position is entirely clinical in nature and responsibility.

Essential Duties/Position Responsibilities

Deliver brief clinical interventions to STRIDE’s different patient population in an integrated primary care setting, including screening/assessment for behavioral health disorders, substance use concerns, stress, and/or behavioral challenges with medical regimen, and providing brief therapy services when indicated Provide culturally sensitive mental health and substance use treatment to individuals and families from different backgrounds Contribute as a member of multidisciplinary teams (comprised of medical, dental, care coordination, health education and other BHPs) in delivering behavioral health services to STRIDE’s patients Collaborate in implementing and developing innovative service line approaches Interact positively and build rapport with patients, coworkers, and community partners Participate in routine clinical supervision with an assigned Clinical Supervisor appropriate to your licensure type including live supervision and documentation co-signature and review Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Master’s or Doctorate degree completed in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Substance Use/Addiction Counseling. Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) registration as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) Intent to achieve one of the following clinical licenses and preferably is at the beginning of their path to accruing clinical licensure hours in Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker BLS Certification Is either a new employee at the organization (start date no earlier than June 1, 2024), or an existing employee who recently obtained a qualifying master’s or doctorate degree and will start accruing clinical licensure hours. Bilingual candidates preferred but not required Preferred experience working with diverse patient populations Preferred experience working in health psychology or integrated care settings Preferred experience working with co-occurring substance use disorders and/or Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services Preferred experience working with individuals throughout the lifespan

Skills & Expertise Work independently and alongside other medical and behavioral health providers in the clinic, seeking consultation from a clinical supervisor and other behavioral health staff as needed Organize work in a manner that ensures accuracy and efficiency, including the ability to drive between clinics to provide services as needed Ability to analyze and synthesize data to determine the appropriate services needed for patients Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations Ability to complete clinical documentation within 72 hours of encounter Ability to handle HIPAA sensitive information ethically and responsibly Ability to protect the confidentiality of patients, employees, and business information We offer a competitive compensation structure based on licensure level and experience: Unlicensed (PSYC, LPCC, LSW, CSWC): Starting at $61,800 annually Unlicensed Doctoral (PsyD): Starting at $65,000 annually Licensed – Master’s Level (LCSW, LPC, LMFT): $72,000–$82,000 annually This range reflects STRIDE’s good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. The final salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on several factors, including experience, education, budget, internal equity, specialty, and training.
