The Patient Care Specialist supports clinical operations in a healthcare setting by assisting nurses with direct patient care. Key responsibilities include administering injections, performing EKGs, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures and examinations, and completing carious non-professional nursing and clerical tasks. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to perform daily clinical and administrative tasks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients, providers, supervisors, and coworkers.
