Provide medical and clinical oversight for patients in ASAM 3.7 Withdrawal Management, including assessments, diagnosis, and medication management. Conduct daily onsite rounds and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliant and patient-centered care.
Must be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Ohio with a DEA license. Preference is given to PMHNP or FNP candidates with at least two years of experience in addiction medicine or behavioral health.
Provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluations, including assessment of withdrawal severity, co‑occurring disorders, medical stability, and appropriateness for ASAM 3.7 level of care. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and withdrawal management plans, ensuring care is medically necessary, culturally responsive, and patient‑centered. Prescribe and manage medications, including withdrawal management protocols, MAT, and other clinically indicated treatments. Conduct daily onsite medical rounds and collaborate closely with nursing staff to address symptoms, stabilization needs, and emerging medical concerns. Respond to urgent medical issues and provide crisis intervention, including after‑hours consultation when required. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and agency policies. Review laboratory and diagnostic results to guide clinical decision‑making and adjust treatment plans as needed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members—nursing, counseling, case management, and external providers—to ensure coordinated, ethical, and effective patient care. Qualifications Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of Ohio required. DEA license required. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with addiction medicine experience preferred. Two years’ experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, withdrawal management, or residential treatment preferred. Credentialed under provider type 95 OMHAS substance use treatment program preferred. Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred.
