About the role

Provide comprehensive hospital medicine care for patients as part of a multidisciplinary team. Manage a swing shift schedule to ensure patient safety and success within the hospitalist practice.

The Corewell Health Ludington Hospital team is looking for Full Time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their hospital medicine practice caring for patients on their busy team. In addition to PAs, they are seeking Acute Care or Adult Gerontology NPs. Experience is preferred but not required.

Position Details

  • Working with a well‑established physician group, additional APPs, and other disciplines to assure safety and success
  • 7 twelve‑hour shifts over a two‑week period (11 am to 11 pm), with no call requirements
  • Robust ramp‑up and orientation process
  • Virtual Nocturnist available for consultation as needed after 7p
  • As an Advanced Practice Provider in the Corewell Health Medical Group, you will have:

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Master’s degree required
  • NP education and certification (post‑2000) must be from a program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC
  • 3 years of relevant, current clinical experience preferred
  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative NP role preferred
  • Michigan NP license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Physician Assistant
  • Master’s degree required; graduate of an accredited PA program
  • Michigan PA license
  • PA‑C certification through NCCPA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

In addition, Ludington Hospital has a 24-hour emergency department with all-private treatment rooms, plus a "FastER track" service for the treatment of minor illness and injuries with minimal wait times. Specialties on our medical staff include general and vascular surgery, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, ENT, oncology and hematology, emergency medicine, urology, family medicine, internal medicine, anesthesiology, radiology, pathology, ophthalmology and obstetrics & gynecology.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a valid Michigan license. BLS certification is mandatory, and previous clinical experience in a collaborative role is preferred.
