The PT Assistant provides treatment for residents and patients based on a physical therapy plan of care. They also collaborate with families and healthcare team members while adhering to professional and regulatory standards.
Candidates must hold a current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in good standing. Compliance with American Association of Physical Therapy and Department of Health standards is required.
Overview The PT Assistant is responsible for providing treatment for residents/patients under the physical therapy plan of care as established by the therapist.
Also interacts with residents/patients, family members, responsible party and other health care team members, while maintaining standards of professional conduct. This position must comply with regulatory standards of the American Association of Physical Therapy, the Department of Health, and any other professional guidelines or standards.
