The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assists in administering treatment plans under the general supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This includes providing patient care and reporting changes in patient conditions to the supervising therapist.
Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy, state licensure as a COTA, NBCOT registration, and CPR certification. A valid driver's license and insurance are required for home care visits.
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, under the general supervision of an Occupational Therapist, assists in administering the Occupational Therapists' treatment plan.
