• We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Oncology Infusion Nurse at City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, you are the forefront of providing specialized and compassionate care to patients undergoing chemotherapy.
• This role is multifaceted, encompassing a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the well-being of patients and supporting them through their cancer treatment journey.

• Monday through Friday – 4/10 hours shifts.
• As a successful candidate, you will: Assessing of Patients’ Health Status: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status before, during, and after chemotherapy infusion sessions.
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and overall response to treatment.
• Care Planning and Implementation: Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patients’ unique needs and treatment regimen.
• Implement nursing interventions in line with established care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Chemotherapy Administration: Administer chemotherapy support to patients and their families regarding the treatment process, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
• Offer emotional support, fostering a caring and empathetic environment for patients facing the challenges of cancer.
• Coordination of Care: Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between various stages of treatment.
• Schedule and facilitate follow-up appointments, actively participating in the continuity of care.
• Management of Side Effects: Assist patients in managing and coping with side effects and complications arising from cancer treatment.

Your qualifications should include

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or master’s degree in nursing Three to five years related experience (oncology) Current California Registered Nurse license Current BLS certification from American Heart Association ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification National certification (must obtain within three years and must be maintained thereafter to retain Clin III status)
