The Special Projects Coordinator will coordinate various projects across the Division of Disease Control and provide administrative and operational support to the leadership team. This includes organizing meetings, supporting strategic planning initiatives, and managing communications.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience and a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field. Strong skills in communication, organization, and project management are essential.
PHMC serves as both a direct service provider to individuals, families, and communities across the region and as an intermediary agent — managing large-scale contracts, government and philanthropic partnerships, and multidisciplinary initiatives that require operational sophistication, strategic leadership, and deep mission alignment.
The Special Projects Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating various projects across the Division, as well as providing administrative and operational support to the DDC leadership team and 10 different program areas. This position works closely with the DDC Director, Fiscal Administrator, and the Division’s Program Managers. This position reports to the Director of the Division of Disease Control.
30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a grant-funded position; continuation of the position is contingent upon sustained funding. All City and City-embedded employees are expected to work in the office or in the field full-time as of July 2024. The applicant will work from the Health Department offices or other locations as assigned.
This job may require moderate physical effort, including lifting materials and equipment of less than 50 pounds and involves viewing a CRT or VDT screen 50 to 75 per cent of the time. The position may require some travel and occasional participation in off-site functions.
