The Patient Care Assistant supports the unit by performing essential patient care duties including bathing, positioning, and transporting patients. Additionally, they are responsible for stocking shelves, cleaning equipment, and assisting with dietary tasks under RN supervision.
A high school diploma or GED is required, and BLS certification is mandatory. CNA training and previous hospital secretarial or receptionist experience are preferred.
