Assists Clinical Laboratory Scientists and pathologists with specimen processing, computer entry, and phlebotomy support. Maintains departmental standard operating procedures and supports organizational goals and patient care initiatives.
Requires a phlebotomy training course and California CPT I or II certification, along with current BCLS. One year of experience in acute patient care and phlebotomy is preferred.
Assists Clinical Laboratory Scientists in the processing of specimens for testing. Assists pathologist and pathology staff. Primary duties are computer entry, specimen processing, clerical, answering phones and phlebotomy support. Must maintain working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC- ARMC.
