The Locum Nephrologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with kidney-related conditions through thorough assessments and individualized treatment plans. They will manage acute and chronic kidney disease cases while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an inpatient setting.
Candidates must possess a medical degree (MD or equivalent) and a valid medical license, and must be board-certified or board-eligible. Experience in nephrology and familiarity with Epic EMR systems are preferred.
This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
As a Locum Nephrologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with kidney-related conditions. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, focusing on improving patient outcomes and managing chronic kidney disease effectively.
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with nephrological conditions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Manage acute and chronic kidney disease cases Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care Educate patients and families on kidney health and disease management Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary Participate in case discussions and contribute to team meetings Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and valid medical license Experience in nephrology preferred Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to high-quality patient care Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
Schedule 10-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off
After-hours beeper call required
Setting: Inpatient only
Patient Volume: 20-30 per shift
Cases: Biopsies, Aquadex/hemo-dialysis, support IR during procedures, DTUP/IP infusion, and after-hours dialysis
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
