Provide advanced, Medicare-funded midwifery care including prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests across the pregnancy and birth period. Collaborate with obstetricians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless continuity of care and mentor junior staff.
Requires current unrestricted registration as an Endorsed Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board. A minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience in the relevant specialty is required.
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Private Endorsed Clinical Midwife - Midwifery Group Practice to join us in a permanent, full-time role. Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. As Mater’s first new public hospital in over 60 years, this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds, ICU, maternity, emergency and surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
Join our Continuity of Midwifery Care team at Mater Hospital Springfield, where Endorsed Midwives collaborate closely with Consultant Obstetricians to provide seamless antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care. Women receive shared antenatal appointments, continuous support during labour from their primary Midwife or team partner, and expert Consultant attendance at birth. Families enjoy personalised care in our private maternity ward and ongoing postnatal support in the community for four weeks.
