The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood and other laboratory specimens from patients of all age groups. They also process specimens, manage data in the laboratory information system, and handle the shipping of reference laboratory samples.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification from the AHA or American Red Cross. Proficiency in blood collection is required, while six months of experience and some college education are preferred.
