The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care for neuro-surgical patients, including performing neurological assessments and administering medications. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate treatment plans while ensuring a safe patient environment.
Candidates must hold a Registered Nurse license and an associate degree, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TEAM Advanced, some of which can be obtained within months of hire.
This position has basic knowledge of neuroscience and general medical overflow diagnoses and is able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for these patients. Employees who are in the casual position are required to pick up shifts as outlined in the Midland Nursing Casual Employee Policy.
