As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical activities associated with the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment, performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, and ensuring the highest quality imaging for patients.
Greet patients and provide clear instructions on mammography procedures.
Perform diagnostic mammography using advanced radiographic equipment, following strict safety standards and radiation protection protocols.
Position patients properly for exams and calculate exposure factors.
Assist physicians in the performance of mammographic procedures.
Conduct quality control functions for mammography and ensure high-quality diagnostic radiographs.
Evaluate images and obtain additional images if necessary.
Prepare medical supplies using aseptic techniques and explain procedures to patients.
Mentor new Mammography Technologists and provide orientation.
Assist in compiling statistical data and maintaining equipment records.
Demonstrate proficiency in performing all breast imaging procedures, including interventional procedures.
Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Licensed in the State of Florida and ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)).
ARRT certification in Mammography (M) preferred, or to be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
BLS Certification.
