• Job Summary The Physical Therapy Aide supports the physical therapy team by assisting with non-clinical tasks and ensuring the efficient operation of therapy services.
• This role includes preparing treatment areas, transporting patients, maintaining equipment, and providing administrative assistance.
• The Aide works under the direct supervision of licensed physical therapy staff and contributes to a safe and positive environment for patients and staff.
• Essential Functions Prepares and maintains treatment areas and equipment before and after therapy sessions.
• Assists with patient transport to and from therapy areas as needed.
• Supports patients with non-clinical needs during treatment sessions under direct supervision.
• Cleans and organizes therapy equipment and ensures supplies are stocked.
• Performs basic clerical duties, including data entry, scheduling assistance, and filing.
• Observes and reports any safety or maintenance concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy in interactions with patients, families, and staff.
• Complies with all hospital safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations Understanding of basic body mechanics and safe patient handling practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.

Education High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role. (Preferred) Licenses/Certifications BCLS - Basic Life Support Facility-Specified Upon Hire Experience Prior Experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting (Preferred) And Prior Experience that demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively (Required)
