About the role

Provide comprehensive women's healthcare, including well-woman care and reproductive health for adolescent and adult patients. Manage routine antepartum and postpartum care while collaborating with OB/GYN physicians for complex cases.

Family Circle of Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) or Certified Nurse Midwife to join our growing OB/GYN team in Tyler, Texas.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will provide comprehensive women’s healthcare under the collaborative direction of an OB/GYN physician.

Responsibilities

include:

  • Providing well-woman care and reproductive healthcare for adolescent and adult female patients
  • Managing routine antepartum and postpartum care
  • Performing comprehensive patient assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
  • Reviewing medical history, lab results, psychosocial factors, and risk status at each visit
  • Providing patient triage and coordinating care needs appropriately
  • Collaborating with physicians on higher-risk or more complex patient care needs
  • Educating patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and health maintenance
  • Accurately documenting care and coding visits appropriately
  • Supporting clinic policies and quality initiatives related to patient care
  • Meeting productivity expectations while maintaining exceptional care standards

Qualifications

  • Required
  • Current WHNP or CNM certification/licensure in Texas
  • Active DEA and prescribing authority in good standing
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
  • Preferred
  • 3 years' experience in labor and deliver/OB setting preferred
  • EPIC EMR experience
  • Community health/FQHC experience

Physical & work environment

Requirements

Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing, a current Texas RN license, and WHNP certification. Candidates must have an active DEA prescribing authority and BLS certification.
