The PACU RN is responsible for assessing post-operative patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing emergency interventions. They ensure quality patient-family centered care while documenting all findings in patient files.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license and 1-3 years of PACU experience. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required, along with a degree from an accredited nursing school.
The PACU RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The PACU RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The PACU RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The PACU RN reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.
