The Medical Assistant will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operations in the cardiovascular surgery practice. Responsibilities include checking patients in, verifying insurance, collecting copayments, and assisting during medical examinations.
Candidates should have proven work experience as a medical assistant, preferably with certification and at least one year of experience in cardiology or vascular. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills are essential.
Vascular Institute of the Rockies has been the premier comprehensive, multi-disciplinary vascular surgery practice in the region for the past twenty-plus years. We opened the first multi-disciplinary office-based lab and ambulatory surgery center in the state of Colorado and are now expanding to Cardiology. This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.
Work is performed in a typical medical clinic and/or business office environment. Work in a clinical setting has the potential for exposure to blood and bodily fluids and infectious pathogens. Must be able to use protective equipment as required.
