About the role

The Registered Nurse assesses, coordinates, and evaluates consumer care within a behavioral health setting using the nursing process. They may also serve in a supervisory capacity to ensure optimal care and completion of unit duties.

Responsibilities

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time VARIED SHIFTS $5,000.00 SIGN ON / RETENTION BONUS!
  • The Registered Nurse (R.N.) assess, directs, delegates, coordinates and evaluates consumer care through collaborative efforts with health team members and in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
  • The registered Nurse may serve as the administration’s designee in supervisory capacity.
  • Coordination of all staff assignments ensures that all consumers will receive optimal care and that the unit duties are completed.
  • The Registered Nurse position is considered a professional licensed position in the Behavioral Health field and a career track of promotion to other nursing positions of increased responsibility and salary is available.

Qualifications

Experience/Education

  • Graduated of an accredited school of nursing is required, BSN preferred. A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric/mental health field is required.
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current RN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing is required. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required. Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current Illinois RN license and at least one year of experience in psychiatric or mental health fields. A BSN is preferred, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
