Requires a Master of Science degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and current state licensure as both a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. BLS certification is mandatory, and DEA/CDS certifications are required.

Under limited supervision, the Nurse Practitioner provides an advanced level of comprehensive healthcare to a specific patient population in collaboration with medical staff. The NP follows established nursing and medical standards, procedures, and practices while delivering exceptional patient care and clinical leadership during night shift operations.
Perform medical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up care, and patient consultations Obtain patient histories and develop comprehensive patient care plans Order, obtain, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures Design and document individualized treatment plans, including medication management Communicate plans of care with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, patients, and families Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record Ensure compliance with patient privacy, safety, and hospital regulatory standards Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
Education & Licensure Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required Current Maryland Nurse Practitioner license required Current Maryland Registered Nurse license required Current BLS certification required prior to direct patient care DEA and CDS required Experience Experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
