Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: Director or Manager of Emergency Department
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care activities.
Documents patient care provided
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient and family.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires a current North Carolina RN license (or compact license) and an Associate Degree in Nursing. Mandatory certifications include BLS, PALS, and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
