The Patient Care Technician provides direct and indirect care to patients, focusing on nutrition, hygiene, and safety. They work under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to ensure physical and psychological comfort for patients and their families.
A high school diploma or G.E.D. and a Florida CNA license are required. Nursing students currently enrolled in an ASN or BSN program who have completed Fundamentals of Nursing are also eligible.
The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care, including provision for patient's dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety and physical and psychological comfort measures, to patient and significant others, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with TGH’s mission, vision, and values.
High school diploma or G.E.D required. Florida CNA license required. Nursing students: currently enrolled in a Nursing program (ASN or BSN) and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing (must submit unofficial transcript with application).
