Perform technical procedures using radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of patient diseases. Supervise technologists and ancillary personnel assigned to the unit.
Requires graduation from a JRCERT program and valid ARRT or NMTCB certification. Must be licensed by the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy board of Examiners.
Bachelor degree preferred. Graduate of an approved JRCERT program for Radiologic Technology and/or Nuclear Medicine. Holder of a valid and current:
1. Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and; 2. Licensed as required by the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy board of Examiners.
Previous work experience in clinical nuclear medicine desired.
Uses a variety of radiation detection, measuring and recording devices and mechanical accessories. Uses a variety of radiation shielding materials and devices. Uses a variety of computers.
