Responsibilities

As a Clinical Social Worker you will: Collect bio-psychosocial information about patients using interview, case history, observation techniques, and assessment methods. Provide individual and/or group psychotherapy. Work with the multi-disciplinary team to develop disposition planning. Function as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, presenting internal reports and participating in patient evaluation and treatment planning. Evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments to patient's treatment plans as appropriate. Utilize electronic health record systems to document and review patient data. Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document.Basic Requirement for Social Worker (Clinical):Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting bio-psychosocial evaluations; providing individual or group treatment; developing discharge and treatment plans; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted independent social work clinical licensure from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
