The Clinical Social Worker collects bio-psychosocial information and provides individual or group psychotherapy to patients. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment and disposition plans while documenting data in electronic health records.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited school and possess a valid, unrestricted independent clinical social work license. One year of specialized experience in bio-psychosocial evaluations and treatment planning is required.
As a Clinical Social Worker you will: Collect bio-psychosocial information about patients using interview, case history, observation techniques, and assessment methods. Provide individual and/or group psychotherapy. Work with the multi-disciplinary team to develop disposition planning. Function as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, presenting internal reports and participating in patient evaluation and treatment planning. Evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments to patient's treatment plans as appropriate. Utilize electronic health record systems to document and review patient data. Performs other duties as assigned.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted independent social work clinical licensure from a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
