Requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field with at least 2 years of behavioral care experience. Must hold a valid South Carolina license as an LMSW, LISW, LPC, or MFT.
Job Summary Provides direct and indirect counseling services to patients and their families using individual, group, and family therapy.
Provides bio-psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, treatment planning and coordination with multidisciplinary team.
Remains open to clinical and peer supervision process.
Accountabilities Provides direct and indirect clinical/therapy services to patients and families covering a broad range of standard practice modalities and theories, biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic determinations, individual, group, and family therapy, aftercare services.
Participates in the planning, development, and implementation of the therapeutic program, including strategies for quality improvement, patient satisfaction, regulatory adherence, and associated policies, processes, chart audits.
Develops an individualized treatment plan including measurable treatment goals related to patient's presenting problems.
Participates as an active member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Performs case management responsibilities involved with patient care.
This includes, but is not limited to, Utilization Review, Discharge Planning, Family Involvement/Education, timely and appropriate documentation as needed.
Serves as team lead and operates as a resource to staff.
Supervises graduate students as field instructor/site supervisor.
Supervisory/Management Responsibility This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related human services field.
2 years of experience providing direct counseling care in a behavioral care setting (hospital or community agency setting preferred).
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses Currently licensed as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners, or currently licensed as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners, or currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the South Carolina Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists, or currently licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) by the South Carolina Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists.
In Lieu Of The Above Minimum Requirements Team members employed in this job prior to July 1, 2020 are grandfathered under prior educational and experience requirements.
In addition, team members must be certification eligible and will have one year to obtain required certification.
