Provide quality, patient-family centered care by preparing patients for examinations and obtaining vital signs. Assist nursing staff with treatments and clinic procedures while documenting chief complaints and updating medications.
Requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited medical assistant program, LPN licensure, or specific UWH apprenticeship programs. Must hold or obtain MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) and CPR/BLS certification.

UW Health offers clinical and administrative continuing education opportunities for Medical Assistants including AAMA approved CEUs, Elsevier Skill Packages and free weekend webinar events (twice per year).
Scheduled shifts are typically Monday through Friday, with 8 hours shifts between the hours of 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. No weekends required.
UW Health offers a competitive compensation package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.
