• VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in Correctional Health Care, has a PRN opening for a Podiatrist! This a new, exciting position that will be focused in our northern region but could work in any of our sites across the state of Massachusetts. This position has the opportunity to have flexible hours throughout the week and the ability to set your own schedule. Our sites are located in:
• Gardner, Lancaster, Shirley, Framingham, Concord, Norfolk, Bridgewater, and Roslindale.

Podiatrist summary

• The Podiatrist specializes in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower extremities.
• They provide comprehensive patient care, including assessments, treatments, surgeries, and preventive education.
• Working with other healthcare professionals, the Podiatrist ensures quality outcomes while adhering to medical and regulatory standards.

• Podiatrist functions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, physical therapists, and other specialists, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Conduct patient education on preventive care, footwear, and self-management strategies to improve overall foot health.
• Perform medical and surgical procedures to address patient needs, including wound care, fracture management, and reconstructive surgeries.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of foot, ankle, and lower extremity conditions, including injuries, deformities, and chronic conditions such as diabetes-related complications.
