The counselor provides direct services including screenings, assessments, and treatment planning for patients with substance use disorders. They facilitate educational groups and maintain detailed client documentation within the EMR system.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a MHACBO Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (I, II, or III) or equivalent. The role requires the ability to perform ASAM assessments and manage outpatient client care.
Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a qualified Drug & Alcohol Counselor to join their team! This position works Monday-Friday.
The Drug & Alcohol Counselor provides direct client services, including screenings, assessments, evaluating level of care, diagnose for substance use criteria, screen for mental health symptoms, refer, treatment plan and document appropriately. The Counselor will provide counsel and support to patients suffering from drug or alcohol dependency, educate families in the best ways to help in the recovery process, and work with those participating in outpatient programs.
