Job Description

Behavioral Health Technician (Weekend Medical Support Focus) Location: Quincy, IL Department: Clarity Healthcare – Residential (Substance Use Disorder) Employment Type: Part-Time (29 hours weekly) Schedule Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Additional on-call shift coverage as needed Must be at least 21 years old. Preferred Background We are strongly seeking candidates with Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) experience for this weekend coverage position. Individuals with backgrounds in direct patient care, clinical support, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, or healthcare environments are encouraged to apply. Join our residential substance use treatment team and play a critical role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey. This position combines direct client care, medical support, and behavioral health services in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $16.50/hour Shift differential opportunities ($0.50 - $2.00/hour, where applicable) 403(b) Retirement Plan with up to 5% employer match after one-year of employment Professional development and career growth opportunities Supportive, team-oriented culture Meaningful work with a direct impact on clients' lives Key Responsibilities Client Care & Support Assist clients with daily living activities and recovery-focused support Provide education and encouragement throughout the treatment process Monitor client well-being and report concerns as needed Medical & Clinical Support Assist with admissions, safety checks, and specimen collection Follow medication observation and documentation procedures Coordinate with nursing staff regarding client care needs Monitor and communicate changes in client status Team Collaboration Participate in treatment planning and multidisciplinary team meetings Support program operations and ensure adherence to treatment guidelines Assist with client transportation when required

Qualifications

Required High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license Minimum two years of consistent work history Additional Requirement For applicable staff: Must provide evidence of being free from infectious/contagious diseases (e.g., TB) prior to employment and annually thereafter. Preferred Skills Experience working in healthcare, behavioral health, or substance use treatment settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team Basic computer proficiency Compassion, professionalism, and a client-centered approach Preferred ✅ Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) ✅ Medical Assistant (MA) ✅ Patient Care Technician (PCT) ✅ Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) ✅ Other healthcare or clinical support experience Ready to Make a Difference? Requirements
