About the role

Collaborates with surgical teams to ensure patient safety during operations and serves as a clinical liaison between staff, surgeons, and vendors. Manages service line requirements including staff training, equipment par levels, and budget coordination.

Registered Nurse RN Spine OR Service Line Specialist Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Southwest Work hours: Fulltime 40 hours per week Day Shift, Call and some holidays are required.

Work Environment: Surgery OR Circulating - Collaborates with other team members (including anesthesiologist, surgeon, surgical technologist, etc) to ensure the safety of patients during the operation.

Serves as clinical liaison to staff, surgeons and vendors.

Promotes engagement through open lines of communication.

Organizes face-to-face meetings as needed.

Communicates products and services.

Completes special projects and events as needed.

Actively participates in training, orientation and mentoring of staff members while facilitating education on service line clinical, administrative, legal and financial requirements.

Maintains par levels of special equipment and supply orders items specific to service line.

Ensures that accurate and timely charges incorporated into service line surgeon preference cards.

Works with clinical manager to coordinate capital and non-capital budget needs for service line.

Attends and participates in clinical facilitator meetings.

Entity Details: Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit.

Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth, which has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff.

Education Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref

Experience 2 years OR experience required 2 years of Spine surgery experience preferred 1 Year perioperative services and circulating and/or scrubbing experience Req and 1 Year OR specialty experience based on specific service line needs Pref

Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req

Skills A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Requires a nursing degree and a valid RN license with BCLS certification. Candidates must have at least 2 years of OR experience, with perioperative and circulating experience required.
