Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Overview JOB SUMMARY Performs Nuclear Medicine exams and delivers completed exams to Radiologist for interpretation. Complies with state and federal regulations concerning Radioactive Materials.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: An individual who has completed a program in nuclear medicine.

Experience

• Previous Nuclear Medicine technologist experience preferred. New graduates will be considered.
• Knowledge and
• Skills: Communicate well with patients and other departments. Knowledge of current State and Federal regulations for Radioactive Materials.
• License/Certifications: Must hold and maintain (via required continuing education credits) current certification from the ARRT and/or NMTCB, CRT (Nuclear), and a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card.

Equipment

• Basic knowledge of equipment used in Nuclear Medicine such as a Gamma Camera, Dose Calibrator, Survey Meter and other equipment as used in the department. RIS, HIS, and PACS.
• Physical
• Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job. PAY RANGE $49.10 - $73.64 The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
