The clinical pharmacist is responsible for order verification, pharmacokinetic monitoring, and assisting providers with antibiotic selection. They also participate in multi-disciplinary rounds and oversee pharmacy technicians in a high-volume inpatient setting.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy school and hold a current license from the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. A pharmacy residency or equivalent experience is preferred.

Thorough knowledge of pharmaceuticals and contemporary pharmacy practice is required. The clinical pharmacist must complete organize activities that are executed via established procedures and techniques within the pharmacy department. Attention to detail is required to ensure proper interpretation of clinical information. The clinical pharmacists manage a fast paced and high-volume workload and stressful situations, prioritize tasks, and follow through to see that all tasks are completed. The clinical pharmacist will maintain professional competency appropriate to the services provided and attend to the needs of all populations served. Interpersonal communication skills are imperative to effectively communicate with both our professional customers and patients utilizing our services. The position reports to the director of pharmacy operations and oversees pharmacy technicians.
Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy and currently licensed by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Pharmacists must acquire sufficient continuing education credits to maintain license. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a pharmacy residency or have equivalent experience.
