The Orthodontic Assistant supports the orthodontist by assisting with procedures such as placing braces and taking impressions. They are also responsible for maintaining a sterile clinical environment and educating patients on appliance care.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and 1-2 years of experience as an orthodontic or dental assistant. Completion of an accredited orthodontic assisting program is preferred.
