The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care by utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation. They are responsible for coordinating care delivery, promoting health, and collaborating with families and healthcare teams within an ethical framework.
Candidates must be a registered nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BCLS certification is required within one month of hire, and a BSN is preferred.

1. STANDARDS OF PRACTICERN practice is guided by the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice (2015). The Standards of Practice describe a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by utilizing the nursing process components of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.
