Manage the care of pediatric patients with temporary or permanent disabilities in an acute rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medication, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless recovery.
Requires a New York RN license, a BSN degree (or current enrollment), and BLS and PALS certifications. Previous experience in acute care or pediatric nursing is preferred.
Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and overall management of care for the following patient populations: Pediatric Acute Rehab patients, Pediatric and Adult Medical-Surgical patients, and adolescent medical withdrawal (detox) patients Implement care strategies that promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health as patients learn to adapt to an altered lifestyle and/or regain self-care abilities. Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to design and ensure an efficient, seamless continuity of care that accurately reflects the patient's needs and expedites recovery. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
Passion for caring for a diverse patient population, including pediatrics 1+ Years of acute care nursing (RN) experience preferred Previous pediatric nursing experience preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required or currently enrolled in a BSN program Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration required Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
Usd $54.97 - Usd $64.20 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
