The RN-Nurse Practitioner practices autonomously and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to manage patient health problems. Responsibilities include developing care plans, using prescriptive authority, and enhancing nursing practice quality.
A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a primary care setting is required, along with a Master's or Doctoral degree as a nurse practitioner. Current certification as a nurse practitioner and eligibility for prescription privileges are also necessary.
Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other health care professionals to treat and manage patient's health problems and serve in various settings as researchers, consultants, and patient advocates for individuals, families, groups, and communities. Performs comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manages illness and disease. Performs other duties as assigned.
