Interim HealthCare - New Hampshire is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team in Portsmouth, NH. In this role, you will work under the direction of licensed physical therapists to help patients improve mobility, manage pain, and regain independence in the comfort of their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists in carrying out individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation treatments to patients
  • Observe and document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising physical therapist
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment
  • Educate patients and family members on therapy goals, exercises, and home care techniques
  • Support patients with compassionate, respectful, and professional care

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program
  • Current New Hampshire PTA license or certification in good standing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach to care
  • Home health experience preferred, but not required

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program with a current New Hampshire PTA license or certification. Home health experience is preferred, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
