The LVN is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications, and providing basic wound care. They also assist patients with daily living activities and maintain accurate medical documentation while reporting changes to senior medical staff.
Candidates must have completed an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program and hold an active LVN/LPN license in the state of practice. CPR/BLS certification and previous clinical experience are preferred.
Role: Licensed Vocational Nurse, (LVN)
Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and medical information Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Assist patients with bathing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene Change wound dressings and provide basic wound care Collect samples for laboratory testing Observe patients and report changes in condition to RNs or physicians Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Educate patients and families about healthcare needs and treatment plans Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients Assist physicians and registered nurses during examinations and procedures
Strong patient care and communication skills Knowledge of nursing practices and medical terminology Ability to multitask in fast-paced healthcare environments Compassion, patience, and attention to detail Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to operate basic medical equipment
Completion of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program Active LVN/LPN license in the state of practice CPR/BLS certification preferred Previous clinical experience may be preferred by employers
